The Korean PTS will be updated to "Freya" in the middle of January. It is planned to go live in February or March (which would be earlier than what was said at the G-Star Festival in Busan).

- The Frintezza raid will be converted to an instance.

- Three new varieties of 80+ armor and weapons will be added. It is not yet clear at which precise level they can be used.

- Vesper armor will become craftable.

- As announced before there will also be new Raid Bosses in this update.

- In 2010 the concept of "War between Countries" (Aden and Elmore?) will be introduced. Kwondoh thinks that the wording indicates that this might not yet be in the Freya update.

- In 2010 every castle can be via a specific system elevated to a special level.

- There will be 20 new skills in the next update, "Freya".

- When summoning a Servitor, Spirit Ore will be used. It looks as if Spirit Ore will then have no weight (kwondoh still has to double-check on the weight aspect).

- Questions about the level cap were not answered. More info about that is expected in the course of the next year.

- In 2010 you will be able to summon 2 Servitors and have whatever one-handed weapon in each hand, like for example in one hand a sword and in the other hand a blunt weapon.

- Because blunt weapons have a good accuracy, their crit rate will not be adjusted (OIOFJI, being a Dwarf, regrets this very much).



Here first the hunting grounds. "Balancing of classes" will follow next ^^

- The Plains of the Lizardmen will be converted into an Archer hunting ground.

- Skyshadow Meadow will be renamed into "Training Field of Power"(?), the monsters there will be modified. It looks like this will be a hunting ground for Polers.

- In the Steel Citadel, Ranku and the Demon Prince will be converted into instanced dungeons.

- Frintezza will be converted into an instanced dungeon too, to the great joy of many users who had so far no access to this Epic Boss.

- In the Seed of Infinity the rewards during the defense stage will be increased.

- Antharas, Valakas and Zaken are scheduled to be reworked, a high-level Zaken will be added.

- For all Raid Bosses the possibility to level Soul Crystals with a certain probability has been added.

- A high-level "Labyrinth of the Abyss" will be added.

- The looting when hunting in a party will possibly be changed ("it will be possible to change"? Kwondoh's short note can mean both).

- The number of quests a character can engage in at the same time will be raised from 25 to 40.

- The duration of the 3rd Class Change Quest will be cut in half



And now what the developers have in mind to balance the classes.

- The exp that Servitors take from a Summoner will be reduced.

- The Hate skill of Tanks will be made stronger (this will make hunting in parties easier than ever).

- Tanks will be given attack-strengthening buffs they can bestow on party members.

- The Vanguard skills of Tanks will be improved.

- The CP value of Eva's Saints and Shillien Saints will be raised by 80%.

- More than 20 class-specific skills will be added, as well as 5 "Special Skills" that have to do with a newly introduced "Awareness System" for learning those class-specific skills.

Apart from the classes, the Attribute System will also be changed. The number of Attributes that can be bestowed on an item will be changed from 1 to 3.

A World Olympiad encompassing all servers will be introduced. Points will be gathered, and the server with the most points will be "Champion of Champions". There will be special benefits for the Hero Server.
(Not necessarily on NA/Euro servers; we also don't have he Battle League tournaments).

More than 20 new hunting grounds and 10 new Bosses will be added (in 2010, not necessarily all in "Freya").



there were some changes on PTS Freya at 27.01.2010.
Developers decide to change properties of armor. Here you can see new stats of s82/s85/s86 armor:
Heavy Armor Destiny
Physical Attack +4.26%, Attack Speed +4% protection against attack magic +2%, stun resistance +50% ,+2% magic protection, protection from fire / water / wind / earth +3, allows to wear the mantle . STR +2, CON -2.
Light Armor Destiny
Physical Attack +4.26%, Attack Speed +4%, +3% movement speed, root / paralysis resistance +50%, +2% magic protection, protection from fire / water / wind / earth +3, allows to wear the mantle. DEX +2, CON -2.
Destiny Robe
Magic Attack +8.11%, Magic +15% speed, protection from attacking magic +5%, root / paralysis resistance +50%, protection from fire / water / wind / earth +5, allows to wear the mantle. WIT +2, MEN -2.
Heavy Armor Berfes (approximate title, I enjoyed it so much)
Physical Protection of +8.47%, +5.57% physical attack, bleed/root/sleep resistance+50%, HP increased by 541, the protection from bleeding / hold / paralysis +5%, protection from fire / water / wind / earth +5, allows to carry mantle. CON +2, STR -2.
Light Armor Berfes
Physical attack / defense +5.57%, Attack Speed +5% +3% movement speed, paralysis resistance +50%, protection from fire / water / wind / earth 5, allows to wear the mantle. STR +1, DEX +2, CON-3.
Robe Berfes
Magic attack +8.7%, Magic +15% speed, speed recovery MP +5%,stun resistance +50%, can carry the mantle. WIT +2, MEN -1, INT -1.
Heavy Armor Elenor (name, again, approximate)
Physical Attack +6.59% critical strike chance +12.74, resistance to bleeding / root / sleep +50%, protection against attacking magic, +2%, HP increased by 550, the protection from fire / water / wind / earth +5, restores HP from physical melee attack, can wear the mantle. STR +3, CON -2.
Light Armor Elenor
Physical Attack +6.59%, Attack Speed +6% critical strike chance +17.05, paralysis resistance+50%, +3% movement speed, protection from fire / water / wind / earth +5, allows to wear the mantle. STR +1, DEX +2, CON -2.
Robe Elenora
Magic Attack +10%, Magic +15% speed, speed of recovery MP +5%, Stun resistance +50%, protection from fire / water / wind / earth +5, allows to wear the mantle. WIT +2, INT +1, MEN -2





Update - 761 new skill id's added, many are for npc's giving them new attacks.

Eg. Castle Guards of various types have been given high power attacks and debuffs like disarm.

"Archer Captain Power Shot - Damage to the bow, 6286 power added."


Player Skills and Items so far:

Maestro - Craft Item Level 10.

Aggression effects are 35% stronger.

Tank Vanguard Skills:

Combat Aura Level 1 - For 20 minutes party member damage and attack speed increases by 3%.
Combat Aura Level 2 - For 20 minutes party member damage and attack speed increases by 4%.
Combat Aura Level 3 - For 20 minutes party member damage and attack speed increases by 5%.

(peyisyeonseu ??) ÆäÀ̼ǽº - Skill that at 20% probability increases damage dealt.




Pink talisman - STR only wearing a talisman when STR is increased.
Pink talisman - DEX talisman only increase DEX to wear and when.
Pink talisman - CON talisman, and only when wearing a CON is increased.
Pink talisman - INT only wearing a talisman when INT is increased.
Pink talisman - WIT talisman, and when worn only to increase the WIT.
Pink talisman - MEN talisman MEN will increase only when wearing.
Pink talisman - shock resistance talisman, and when worn only to increase the shock resistance.
Pink talisman - water resistant talisman only increase resistance to wear and when to sleep.
Pink talisman - Hold Resistance talisman only increase resistance to wear and when to hold.
Pink talisman - Paralysis Resistance talisman only increase resistance to wear and when to attack.

Skills, Attributte System, PVP-system changes

Classes
1.Following classes will boost their CP:
- sorcerer, spellsinger, spellhowler: +20%CP
- Bishop: +29% CP
- Shilien Elder, Elven Elder: +80% CP
- Overlord: +13% CP
2.Some new animations of some skills

Attribute system
U can insert 3 kind of attribute:
- u cannot insert opposed attributes in 1 item
- while removing attribute u will remove it all w/o chance to recovery
- Attribute attack is decreased
- defense attribute has been increased for more lenght of PvP
Skills
1.New skills added:
- Tanks: ¬³ombat Area, Patience
- Maestro: Craft lvl 10
2.Effects of following skills are increased:
- hate + 35%
- magic resistance + 20%
Pets:
- Summons of Warlock, Elemental and Phantom Summoners do not eat exp of the player
- Summon consumes spirit ore
- cost of summon is decreased
- New pet Maguen
Changes in Olympiad system
Olympiad:
- more arenas (20->80).
Sieges:
- mercenaries lvl is increased to 80 lvl

Siege golems
- the power of this summon has increased in 2.3 times
- time to re-summon is decreased 300 --> 18 sec -

lol, but mages are powered up, like they are not strong enough already. Crafting Vesper is very nice, but it means more bots, hell-a-lot-of-bots

It's still pretty mysterious, and it hasnt been done on the korean servers yet either
so no one really knows what they mean ...

Spacifik notes concerning summoners:

since now you can share your buffs (in the buff slot) with the summon, you can share your Enchanter Ability - Barrier also. And your summon has the same number of buff slot as you.
If other buffs you, you buff will share with your summon instantly.
herbs dropped by the mobs last for 5mins for summoners now

To sum it up:
The summoned servitor automatically gets all the buffs the master gets. If there are some buffs you want only for yourself, but not for the pet, you can click them off. And likewise, if you want the pet to keep some buffs, you can individually click them off in the master's buff bar.
But when you buff a targeted summons, only the unicorn gets the buffs, not automatically you too. Did I get this right?




and the new buff ..

As of today, the three Summoner classes Warlock, Elemental Summoner and Phantom Summoner get a new lvl 44 self-buff called "Spirit Swearing" that increases both their own combat abilities as those of their Servitor.

Lv.1: For a duration of 20 minutes P.Atk. +3%, M.Atk. +3%, Power of skills +5%
Lv.2: For a duration of 20 minutes P.Atk. +4%, M.Atk. +4%, Power of skills +7%
Lv.3: For a duration of 20 minutes P.Atk. +5%, M.Atk. +5%, Power of skills +10%

These are just pointers from 1 clan on there day 1 in freya on I think the taiwan server.

Freya first day experience
1. hunting, even in old areas, has been tougher due to the change in attribute system. do bring a healer on the first day!

2. upper floor of MoS, Seed of Annihilation is a hell. Even our templar knight hero (not too high earth attribute defense) can't take damage from 4 mobs at a time, and they are always 4 in a group in SoA.
edit: a lv85 destroyer with 340 earth attribute defense (including buffs) are taking up ~1500hp per hit in SoA

3. Labyrinth of the Abyss lvl 83 is challenging. dance of shadow and silent move have no effect on the mobs in the abyss now (should be the same for all lvs of abysses). you have to kill the mobs on the 2nd floor also to decrease the phy. attack of the bosses.

4. the difficulties of both castle dungeons have been increased greatly.
As for the lv70 one, i recommend a complete team setup with at least 2 lv78+ Grand Khavatari and 2 healers with continuous healing required. a lv85 GK is taking >1500hp per hit from the third boss.
before the update, 1 lv78+ destroyer without healers is already enough.
In the lv80 dungeon, the hp of the 4 npcs u need to protect has greatly reduced. bring a bishop to heal the npcs. however the power of the bosses and minions does not increase so much. just watch out for the npcs' hp.

5. Freya was killed 1.5hrs after the server opened, including the time for the 4 quests.

6. Frintezza is more difficult than Freya normal mode (and the drops are better too). people are recruiting archers for the raid.

our clan will do boss raids later today. hope there will be more first hand information.

7. cooldown time for all the wizards' main nuke has increased. some say all magical skills' cooldown time has increased increase also affects healer classes.
Edited: before update, with full buffs, I can cast major group heal non-stop. However in Freya there is an about 0.5s delay between each cast. It is quite noticeable.

newly added:

8. in the Great Seal and Tower of Seal, you cannot use a dead party member as a "guide" all the way to the boss room anymore.
If any player in the seals dies and does not get res in 1 minute, he will be teleported out of the seal.
It should be still possible to get to the boss room without hunting through all the rooms, but it's not as easy as before.

Hurricane,Hydro Blast,Death Spike,Prominence,Soul of Pain reuse was lengthened slightly.
Major Heal and Major Group Heal reuse was lengthened slightly
Balance Life reuse was lengthened moderately
Steal Divinity's reuse was locked to 15 seconds.
In PvE defensive element does not continue to reduce monster damage below what would be dealt with 0 element.
In PvP the total damage boost at 80, 150 and 300 was reduced as follows
80 element 39%->21%
150 element 69%->43%
300 element 98%->70%

Btw what I also heard about Freya, few main things at my opinion. LF confirmation:

Summoners will be able to summon two servitors at a time.
Daggers will be able to summon a duplicate of themselves where the perform the same action as it's owner.
Fighting classes will be able to carry two weapons at a time. IE: A sword in one hand and a blunt in the other.
Archers will be given a zoom function for attacking enemies at a distance.
Maestros will be able to craft to level 10

Academy farming and new players anyway. And ofc more players-invaded servers sure need to have low-lv exp territories at good condition.

I can answer a few of those:

First one : Yes summoners will be able to summon 2 pets, it will be like for the healers who could be bale to pick a skill from the other healers
at levle 76 after they completed third class quest, summoners will be able to pick a summon from ANOTHER summoner
I myself am a Elemental summoner and hell yeah i know wich summon i'm gonna pick, QUEEN CAT FTW !!!

Daggers will receive the same skill Kamaels already have

maybe i need to say it more simply:
they actually plan that if u reach lvl 76 that u can pick a skill from anny other similiar jobclass
so anny dagger can pick a skill from another dagger

anny tank can pick a skill from anny other tank class etc etc etc

So yes some skills will really get evened out, the question is only WICH skills will be available for the taking ?

For instance now anny healer can pick a skill from another healer at 76 after third jobclass with the pomander they
receive at the end of the quest, BUT for a bishop their best skill is balance life, and that one is not available
so big questions remain there .

For the 2 weapon story, yes you will be bale to switch weapons whitout having to arm / disarm / arm / disarm
2slots will be available and u can carry 2 weapons at once , a bit like diabloII

Now for the zoom on archers , it's true too, but not sure they will carry it out , some isseu's of abuse's already popped up
on the test servers.

and last one :
yes craft lvl 10 will be available and be a lvl 76 skill most likely
they cant put it higher sadly, so yeh a lot of dwarves are gonna invade fields again to bot from 72 to 76
i geuss, i dun care wich levle they put it, should have been way higher imho
So i be only one to be able to craft it whahahha /evil laugh with echo's

Actually the really lower levle hutning area's are getting ameliorated and more xp will be won from
lower level quests along with better items
so yes by time u finish them quests u'll be too high for cruma swamp

and frankly its at higher level that u need a bigger variety of grounds
so u can really breeze trought the "slower" levels instead of being stuck for ages at
one spot.

Anyway I was aking - only 76+ locs where you can use S grade with attr will become more difficult or almost everyone due to attr system changes?

1) The arenas for the Grand Olympiad will be changed to instanced zones so that 160 Olympiad matches can take place at the same time.

2) The minimum number of players who must have applied for participation in a match has been modified:
Open Class: from 9 to 10 persons
Class Specific: from 5 to 10 persons
Open Group: from 9 to 4 teams

3) When a player applies for participation in a tournament, the random matching up of opponents has been changed to a method where players are as far as possible matched with opponents who have a similar number of Olympiad Points.

4) The awarding of Olympiad Points has been changed as follows:
- When a character first attains Noblesse, he or she will be awarded 10 Points
- Every week 10 Points will be added
- This goes on for 4 weeks, so that the player has in the end 50 free Olympiad Points

5) The command /complete has been added which can be used on targeted Noblesse characters and will tell that characters complete Olympiad Points as well as the number of his of her remaining matches.

6) There is a per-week limit on the number of matches a Noblesse character can participate in:
- Maximum number of total matches per week: 70
- Maximum number of Open Class matches per week: 30
- Maximum number of Class Specific matches per week: 30
- Maximum number of Open Group matches per week: 30

7) The maximum number of spectators per arena has been changed to 20 persons.

Cool Three kinds of arenas have been added:

- The circular Orbis Arena



The Three-Forked Road

- The Hero Ruins Arena



The already existing arenas were given the background pattern of a real-life olympiad stadium




In which arena a player will be teleported is automatically selected at the time of entry into the arena.

9) Three once-per-day quests that have to do with the Olympiad matches can be picked up from the Olympiad Manager. These quests are reset every morning at 06:30 real time.

10) The time for which Olympiad Rings, Earrings and Necklaces can be used has been changed from 30 to 60 days.

11) The number of awarded Olympiad Points has been changed as below:
- For being among the top 1% from 120 to 100 Points
- For being among the top 10% from 80 to 75 Points
- For being among the top 25% from 55 to 55 Points
- For being among the top 50% from 35 to 40 Points
- For being among the lower 50% from 20 to 30 Points

12) The Hero Bonus has been changed from 180 to 200 Points.

13) The minimum number of matches a character must participate in for being awarded Olympiad Points has been changed from 9 to 15.

14) The Point movement(?) in Class Specific matches has been changed from 1/3 to 1/5.

15) The stats of Hero Weapons have been upgraded as below:
- The basic stats of the weapon, like P.Atk. and M.Atk. have been adjusted upwards
- The additional damage in PvP has been increased from 5% to 20%
- The values of all effects have been increased
- All Hero Weapons have been given a very strong Holy Attribute. The two-handed Mage blunt Infinity Scepter, however, has been given a Water/Wind/Fire/Earth/Dark Attribute

16) The list of items that can be purchased with Olympiad Tokens has been expanded:
- Vesper Armor
- Vesper Noble Enhance Stone
- Bofess Armor

17) The amount of Fame and Olympiad Tokens that is required to purchase Forgotten Scrolls has been reduced.

18) It will no longer be possible to purches items with Noblesse Gate Passes. Old Noblesse Gate Passes can be sold to normal NPC shops for adena.

19) A new feature was added which permits watching Olympiad matches in camera mode. The details how this camera mode works are listed in the menu of the Broadcasting Towers.

20) The possibility to record broadcast Olympiad matches was added.

The party exp system has been significantly changed in High Five. First of all the additional exp that a monster gives when it gets killed by several people has been adjusted so that bigger parties get an advantage:
2 Persons from now 30% to 10%
3 Persons from now 39% to 20%
4 Persons from now 50% to 30%
5 Persons from now 54% to 40%
6 Persons from now 58% to 50%
7 Persons from now 63% to 100%
8 Persons from now 67% to 110%
9 Persons from now 72% to 120%

And then for powerlevelers the exp percentage that characters with a level difference to the highest party member get has also been simplified/adjusted:
- 9 levels or less difference -> 100%
- 10~14 levels difference -> 30%
- 15 levels or more difference -> 0%

That means you can only powerlevel friends 14 levels below you, not 19 levels as at present. It is not clear whether this is also applied to pets.


Characters of lvl 60 and above will be able to buy every day from 20:00 to 24:00 real time Ancient Adena from the Black Marketeer of Mammon in every town at the rate of 4 regular adena for 1 Ancient Adena. One character can buy only once per day and at most 500,000 Ancient Adena per purchase. This is reset every morning at 06:30 real time.


For the skills I could still not find any official confirmation. But it looks as if this is not CT 3 but another "Interlude", called "High Five" because it has five main points:
- Upgraded Dragon Valley
- Seven Signs Epic Quest
- Changed Olympiad
- Improved Buff display
- Improved Pet System

Shield Strike

Attacks the enemy additionally with a shield. A shield must be equipped.

Challenge for Fate

Phoenix Knight, Hell Knight, Eva's Templar, Shillien Templar
Challenges the enemies [-µé plural] directly in front by arousing their attention. The Tank's own P.Def. and M.Def. is increased by the skill.

Sonic Mastery

Gladiator
Increases during regular attacks with a certain probability the charge level of the Gladiator's Sonic Energy.

Force Mastery

Monk
Increases during regular attacks with a certain probability the charge level of the Monk's resp. Tyrant's Focused Force.

Shooting Blow

Adventurer, Wind Rider, Ghost Hunter
Reduces the target's Movement Speed by throwing a dagger at him, her or it.

Dual Blow
lvl 83
Adventurer, Wind Rider, Ghost Hunter
Attempts to deliver a strong blow against a vulnerable spot of the opponent. A Dual Dagger must be equipped.

Multiple Shot
lvl 82
Sagittarius, Moonlight Sentinel, Ghost Sentinel, Trickster
Attacks a great number of enemies directly in front. A Bow or Crossbow must be equipped.

Death Stinger
lvl 83
Sagittarius, Moonlight Sentinel, Ghost Sentinel, Trickster
Launches an arrow aimed to kill. A Bow or Crossbow must be equipped.

Chain Heal
lvl 83
Cardinal, Eva's Saint, Shillien Saint, Dominator
Restores for the target and at most 10 allied people near the target at most 30% HP. The amount [not percentage] of the restored HP is determined by the hurt person with the most damage and will get less the higher the received damage is. 4 Spirit Ore are consumed. MP Cost: 194, range: 900.

Mass Cure Poison

Eva's Saint, Shillien Saint
Cures all party members from high grade Poison as well as worsening[?] Poison.

Mass Purify

Shillien Saint
Removes Paralysis and Petrification from all party members, cures all party members from high grade Poison and Bleed as well as worsening[?] Poison and Bleed.

Mass Vitalize

Eva's Saint
Restores the [full?] HP of all party members and cures them from high grade Poison and Bleed as well as worsening[?] Poison and Bleed.

Resist Earth
